I don't know why but this photo really sticks out in my mind. It keeps popping up in my mind over the past week.

but.. what is it about the photo that sticks out in your mind so much??

I never know. But if I were to analyse it, I'd say first it's the look on her face. Calm and contemplating, like she's about to tell a joke perhaps, or at least she's thinking about something she finds slightly amusing, nothing negative. And she's completely comfortable in what appears to be a busy sort of area - kind of like the busy parts of town just outside the central part of a city. The noise and busyness doesn't bother her at all, she probably hangs out here a lot.

Then there's the pure aesthetic of the film and the grain it gives, coupled with the way the shot is focused.

So yeah... subconciously I guess all that comes to mind without me realising it until I sat down right now to think about it

Oh haha. thank you. i love hearing other people's interpretations of my photos. It can be very surprising sometimes... usually their interpretation will be completely different than my own.

well, in this case, its similar to yours.
shes in a rather busy area, but shes very content there.
in fact, she loves it.
Freedom jumps out at me when i look at it.
shes in a place dshe loves, and shes free to explore it as much as she wants..
new doors are opening, and new things await everywhere she looks.
hence the title, "the world awaits".
